WEB-Site announcement dated 25 October 2001
Launch of Ex-Apprentices WEB-Site - 25 October 2001

The Royal Aircraft Establishment Ex-Apprentices WEB-Site was launched on 25 October 2001.

At present the site is somewhat incomplete but development is set to continue over the next few weeks and months until a satisfactory level of content is achieved. The site will also continue to develop in the long term as new ideas and new requirements emerge.

Remember, the WEB-Site is intended to serve the needs of members. Therefore, it is your WEB-Site and any contributions, ideas, suggestions or comments will be welcomed.

In particular we need members to recall events, occasions and, most of all, photos of the incidents. Let us have you contributions for the 'Archive' section and please don't forget to identify dates, names, places wherever possible as this information will serve to stimulate the memory of others. We need your stories.

You can use the 'Bulletin' section to announce events, especially local ones, and to provide interesting items of news.

Objectives for the WEB-Site are to provide:
A brief history of apprenticeship training at the RAE.
A forum for communication between members.
Information and details of forthcoming events.
A Bulletin Board for publication of news items.
Chronicle past events and happenings.
Promote membership.
Create awareness of and interest in the association.

One future objective is to add a 'Chat Room' to the site to provide a more effective communication medium for members. In addition there are a number of other enhancements which may be possible but remember all this takes time so please be patient.
